Roger D’Souza

Inclusion Coach - Great Southern, WA

Roger D’Souza is a Sport4All Inclusion Coach working with APM Communities across the Great Southern region of Western Australia, supporting local clubs, schools and communities to strengthen disability inclusion.

Born and raised in Perth, Roger has lived in Denmark for the past seven years. He founded the Denmark Table Tennis Club, giving him firsthand experience of running a community sporting organisation and understanding the demands placed on volunteers. Roger currently coaches junior table tennis and also enjoys surfing and yoga.

As a parent of a daughter with disability, Roger has spent many years advocating for her inclusion. His experiences have shown him the difference that a willingness to adapt can make. Roger is passionate about helping organisations see disability inclusion as a natural and essential part of community life and creating more opportunities for people to participate.

“Inclusive sport matters to me because there is no I in team and everyone is included. Inclusive sport looks like one big happy family all together. I love sport because it keeps me fit and active, and I feel part of a team”
