Empower Golf is an Australian organisation dedicated to making golf accessible and enjoyable for people of all abilities, especially those living with disability. It runs inclusive clinics, trains PGA All-Abilities coaches, provides adaptive equipment and supports players to participate confidently in golf across Australia. Its mission is to break down barriers so that anyone—regardless of physical or intellectual ability—can experience the physical, social and psychological benefits of golf. Empower Golf also partners with clubs and disability programs to grow inclusive opportunities nationally.
A ParaGolfer is a specialised all-terrain golf wheelchair used widely through Empower Golf’s programs. This adaptive machine lifts the user into a standing position so they can take a more traditional golf swing, and it’s designed to go almost anywhere on the course, including greens and practice areas. While it’s often used by people with high-level spinal cord injuries like paraplegia or quadriplegia, it can also support anyone with mobility or stability challenges to play golf more naturally. Empower Golf makes ParaGolfers available at clinics and Empower Golf Hubs, helping golfers with disability enjoy the game in an empowering way.
