John Gibson is a Sport4All Inclusion Coach working in Lake Macquarie, supporting clubs, schools and communities to provide more inclusive opportunities for people with disability.
John brings more than 20 years of professional experience working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities. He is of Aboriginal and Scottish heritage, with family connections to Gumbaynggirr, Yuin, Gunai/Kurnai and Menang Country. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Creative Industries and has extensive experience in community services and supporting young people.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, John has participated in Australian rules football, soccer, rugby league, cricket, baseball, tennis and pickleball. Guided by his belief that everyone should have the opportunity to participate, he is passionate about breaking down barriers and strengthening inclusion across community sport.
