Sport4All Announces New Partnership with Netball NSW

Sport4All and Netball NSW Team Up to Score a Goal for Disability Inclusion

Sport4All is excited to announce a new partnership with Netball NSW, aimed at enhancing and expanding All Abilities Netball programs across New South Wales. This collaboration will ensure that everyone, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to participate and enjoy sport.

Jenny Crandell, Acting State Manager at Sport4All, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to partner with Netball NSW to support and grow their All Abilities Netball programs. At Sport4All, we believe that sport should be accessible to everyone, and this collaboration will help us reach more communities and create more inclusive environments. Together, we will work to ensure that all players, regardless of their abilities, have the chance to participate, develop their skills, and enjoy the many benefits of playing netball and being part of a team.”

Trish Crews, GM Communities at Netball NSW, highlighted the success and growth of All Abilities Netball in recent years. He stated, “All Abilities Netball has achieved significant growth over the past couple of years in NSW. Many of our Associations and Clubs already have programs, we run a NSW All Abilities State Challenge, and of course, our Marie Little Shield team represents us proudly each year. By partnering with experts in this field, Sport4All, we are excited to grow and learn in this space. The partnership will empower our community to feel confident and capable of introducing more All Abilities programs and ensure our staff and volunteers feel supported. Importantly, with the support of Sport4All, our All Abilities players will continue to feel welcomed and included and have more opportunities to play.”

Sport4All, known for its expertise in creating inclusive sports environments, will bring valuable resources and knowledge to help Netball NSW develop and expand its All Abilities programs. This partnership aims to provide better support for staff and volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary tools and confidence to implement inclusive practices effectively.

The collaboration will also focus on increasing opportunities for All Abilities players, ensuring they feel welcomed and included in the netball community. With support from Sport4All, Netball NSW is committed to fostering an environment where all players can thrive and enjoy the game. Netball is the fifth most popular organised sport played by female children in NSW, with 9.8% enjoying the game each week. Additionally, 3.6% of female adults also participate in netball regularly.

This partnership presents an exciting opportunity for Sport4All to expand its reach and support to an estimated 1.35 million people with disabilities in NSW, ensuring that more individuals can benefit from inclusive sports programs.
